Using Saundra McGuire’s book, Teach Students How to Learn, participants will explore the role that metacognition plays in student learning. We will discuss and practice a variety of adaptable teaching strategies that will encourage students in any course to practice deep, reflective learning. In addition, we will develop a list of questions for Dr. McGuire, who will visit the KSU campus for a presentation and book signing as part of the Gateways 2 Completion project.
