Course Design Enhancement Fund
The Course Design Enhancement Fund (CDEF) is designed to support innovation for course design or redesign. The goal of the funding is to assist faculty who are interested in integrating new teaching approaches into their courses or disseminating their teaching innovations at conferences.
CETL will provide funding for books, supplies, equipment, technology, and/or travel. These should be directly linked to the development of a course at KSU, its facilitation, or its dissemination to the academic community.
Funds used toward equipment and computer software purchased will fall under the usual University fiscal rules; namely, equipment and computer software become the property of the University, earmarked for the individual's use while at the institution.
Funds used toward travel will be prioritized, as follows: Travel for conference presentations of the applicant’s innovations will receive top priority (for disciplinary conferences with education tracks, disciplinary teaching conferences, or general teaching/SoTL conferences). Proof of acceptance of proposal is required to complete the application. Travel for course development purposes or teaching conference attendance will be considered.
Up to $1500.00
Selection is competitive. The selection committee will review each application. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. You will be notified within two weeks of the deadline if your application has been funded.

These include all travel regulations, policies relating to the protection of human subjects, and policies related to intellectual property rights. All publications and presentations must acknowledge the assistance of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
