The Handbook of Cross-Border Ethnic Affinity

The tie of ethnic and religious kinship is often considered one of the most salient connections between humans, and such ethnic connections are increasingly considered as a possible motivating factor for the foreign policy of countries. Unfortunately, the existing data for ethnic affinity is insufficient and flawed, preventing a full consideration of the importance of this affinity. The purpose of this research project is to provide a comprehensive, more detailed, account of cross-border ethnic affinity. To this end, this research project will eventually result in a completed book manuscript and an updated dataset on cross-border ethnic affinity.
