The Journal of Social Theory in Art Education (JSTAE) is the official journal of the Caucus of Social Theory in Art Education (CSTAE), an Issues Group of the National Art Education Association (NAEA). The journal serves as an alternative voice for the field of art education through the promotion of scholarly research that addresses social issues, action, and transformation as well as creative methods of research and writing.
This publication is intended as an opportunity for interdisciplinary approach opened to pedagogical, psychological, sociological and political analysis in the field of artistic and intercultural education.
Our goal is to stimulate the production of knowledge in the field of artistic education and to enhance participation to the community of educational practice and research in Music, Drama, Choreography, Visual Arts, Artistic and Intercultural Education.
Research and Issues in Music Education (RIME) is a privately funded international on-line music education research journal that advances scholarly thought by publishing articles promoting research, dialogue, practice, and policy in music education. RIME publishes quantitative, qualitative, philosophical, historical, speculative, and bibliographic articles that are peer-reviewed and contribute to an understanding of any focus and level of music education. As of 2015, this is the new home of Research and Issues in Music Education.
Reading Horizons is published by the Dorothy J. McGinnis Reading Center & Clinic, College of Education & Human Development at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It is a Journal of Literacy and Language Arts with scholarly submissions from authors who work in the field of Reading, Literacy, and Education.
Reading and Writing publishes high-quality, scientific articles pertaining to the processes, acquisition, and loss of reading and writing skills. The journal fully represents the necessarily interdisciplinary nature of research in the field, focusing on the interaction among various disciplines, such as linguistics, information processing, neuropsychology, cognitive psychology, speech and hearing science and education.
The Editorial Board of the New England Reading Association solicits manuscripts of interest to educators on a broad array of topics related to literacy and classroom practice. We welcome submission in a variety of writing formats such as articles, interviews, essays, and research reports.
The Journal of Outdoor and Environmental Education (JOEE) is an international journal of the outdoor profession owned by the Outdoor Council of Australia and strongly supported by Outdoor Education Australia. The journal provides an academic forum in which empirical and non-empirical research concerning outdoor and environmental education can be shared and discussed. The primary aim of the journal is to positively influence the development of outdoor and environmental education practice and theory.
Educational Action Researchis concerned with exploring the dialogue between research and practice in educational settings. The considerable increase in interest in action research in recent years has been accompanied by the development of a number of different approaches: for example, to promote reflective practice; professional development; empowerment; understanding of tacit professional knowledge; curriculum development; individual, institutional and community change; and development of democratic management and administration.
