Research Examining the Determinants of Performance for New Ventures Undertaking an Initial Public Stock Offering

This project will involve researching the determinants of performance for firms that have undertaken an initial public offering (IPO) of stock between 2004 and 2007, extending my prior research on a similar database which resulted in numerous best paper awards, publications and presentations. Over 700 firms have been identified and work has been in process over the past two years building this database, resulting in over 100 variables identified and entered into the database for these firms from each firm 's IPO prospectus, the CompuStat database and other data sources. Additional variables for each firm will be added over time.
