Jane Barnette, the Resident Dramaturg of the Department of Theatre & Performance Studies at Kennesaw State University, is a scholar-artist who does archival research on train culture and American pageantry. Her teaching style focuses on public presentation of undergraduate research and game-based explorations of history and theory for inquiry-based learning. She has shared her scholarship of teaching and learning as a co-convener of a working session at the American Society for Theatre Research (ASTR) and has presented at the International Lilly Conference in Oxford, OH. She serves as the Regional VP of the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of America (LMDA), and has published in Theatre Symposium, Theatre Journal, and Text & Performance Quarterly. Recent off-campus dramaturgical projects include Auburn University's 2013 production of Elephant's Graveyard (directed by Chase Bringardner) and Georgia Shakespeare’s 2010 production of The Odyssey: A Journey Home (directed by Richard Garner).
