For many of us, our approach to teaching is emergent from the everyday challenges we face in our courses. We respond in the way that makes the most sense and, over time, our repertoire of responses becomes our teaching approach. This workshop is an opportunity to step back and examine our teaching beliefs, goals, and practices, so that we can be more intentional and purposeful. We will examine some theoretical teaching paradigms, introduce an online tool to help us reflect on your own approach to teaching, and discuss concrete strategies to better align our teaching behaviors with our goals.
