CETL’s Learning Design and Technology area of focus specializes in effective use of course design, technology integration and instructional design principles that promote successful student outcomes in traditional (face-to-face), blended (hybrid), or online courses.
The Instructional Designers at CETL support faculty in the areas of course design and course facilitation, blended and flipped courses, syllabi reviews, active learning strategies, and technology engagement for the learning environment.
CETL is committed to providing professional development for online teaching through the delivery of the Online Course Development workshop, which certifies faculty to teach online at KSU. Additionally, we offer training opportunities for Kennesaw instructors to become peer reviewers for the KSU internal online course review process. The Instructional Design staff also provides research-based workshops and consultations, centered in pedagogically sound practices to improve student learning.
