New Faculty
Questions will undoubtedly arise as you jump into a whirlwind of activities surrounding your new position at KSU. To ease your transition, we have developed an online resource center for you to use. The events and resources listed here give you links to information that touches on various policies and procedures, resources, and organizational structures at KSU and in the University System. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the academic policies and recommendations. Part-Time Faculty
CETL Faculty Fellow for Adjunct Support With 48% of KSU faculty being adjunct, the KSU Provost felt a CETL Faculty Fellow was needed for adjunct faculty support. This faculty fellow is to work with all stakeholders: adjunct faculty, their supervisors, full-time faculty who collaborate with adjuncts, Deans and Department Chairs. The fellow will gather data via focus groups and quantitative surveys to ascertain the level of support needed for adjunct faculty to do their best teaching. Workshops will be held for adjunct faculty, and for their supervisors. In these workshops best practices will be discussed and shared for teaching and learning improvement.

Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
The scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) involves scholarly inquiry into how students learn and how teaching affects student learning.

Technology Enhanced Learning
CETL's Technology Enhanced Learning resources focus on effective use of technology and instructional design that promote student learning in traditional, blended (hybrid), or online courses. The Instructional Designers at CETL support faculty in the areas of course design and course facilitation, blended and flipped classroom courses, syllabi reviews, collaboration tools, active learning strategies, and technology engagement for the learning environment.
