Flipping the classroom has gained popularity in the last few years due to the benefits for instructors and students. It incorporates many active learning strategies and student-centered teaching techniques. When you flip the classroom, students are held accountable for coming to class prepared and spend quality time in the f2f class applying concepts and material. Join us for a session on flipping the classroom to explore more about this topic and walk away with new ideas for your course.

This is the only CETL workshop that will lead to online teaching certification at KSU. You must be a current KSU instructor to register for this workshop. Since this workshop is delivered in a hybrid format, you will participate in synchronous and asynchronous online activities and one face-to-face session. You will have the opportunity to experience online instruction from a students' perspective, complete activities at your own pace, and explore various course tools. Please note: Alternative online coursework can substitute for the f2f segment, if scheduling issues exist for you.

Did you try something innovative and novel in your course this semester or in a past semester that students really responded to and you would like to share it with others? Or perhaps something did not go as planned and you want to discuss how to improve it. Maybe you just want to hear what others on campus are doing in their courses, or you just want a cookie! Then join your colleagues and the CETL Instructional Designers for informal conversation about course design and teaching.
